Description
Main ingredients in Punarnavadi Kashayam are Boerhaavia diffusa, Cedrus deodara, Terminalia chebula, Azadirachta indica, zingiber officinale. The rich combination of these herbs have Sophahara action and acts as Ayurvedic medicine for swelling. Pharmacological action of Punarnavadi Kashayam assuages kapha and pitta conditions when in extreme. It helps to reduce the vitiated accumulation of these entities and is an Effective Ayurvedic medicine for Cirrhosis and Ayurvedic Medicine for fatty liver. It is a natural and herbal diuretic remedy, which can be used to increase urine output of patients in various diseases such as generalized edema, kidney failure, ascites or myxedema etc. Another action of aggravated Pitta is the formation of liver maladies, due to its pitta reducing action it is an Ayurvedic medicine for Hepatitis. Initially it increases urine output and then balances urinary outflow. It decreases generalized swelling due to excess fluid accumulation in the body.
