Description

Referred in Yoga Ratnakara Rajayakshma Chikitsa, and Sahasrayoga Tailayoga 30, this special ayurvedic oil has a variety of uses. This herbal oil can be used both externally and internally. Its external uses include the prevention of greying of hair and hair fall, burning sensation in the head and sunstroke.

For hair related issues, it is massaged over the scalp. A full body massage can also be undertaken for relieving skin from burning sensation and sun stroke. Moreover, it provides instant relief to headaches caused due to long hours of exposure to the sun. It's internally used for treating problems like gout, heavy menstrual bleeding, jaundice, nosebleed and other bleeding disorders. It can be taken through nasal installation (drops instilled in the nose) for neurological problems like nose bleed or internal administration (oral intake).

For internal installation, its dosage varies from 2 to 8 drops of oil. For the purposes of internal administration, it is 2 ml to 3 ml, once or twice a day, before food with warm water. Ayurveda suggests resorting to this product only on a doctor's advice and strict supervision as its over dosage can lead to side effects like loose stomach and diarrhea.

According to Ayurveda, body heat is the cause of bleeding and burning sensation. The soothing oil works as a coolant. The oil is a heat pacifier, and thus balances body heat and relieves burning sensation and bleeding. It also regulates Pitta balance, thereby relaxing the whole body. This cooling action of the oil is possible due to its magical composition. It is made using wide range of medicinal herbs. With sesame oil as its base, it has a lot of water. Major ingredients include; Bala, Dhatra, Chandana, Sariva, Amla, Ikshu, Kusha,Ashok, Priyala, Valka, Padmaka and many more. All these herbs used in Ayurveda add to the cooling quality of the oil, making it a versatile oil for balancing body heat.

  1. Natural coolant oil
  2. Relieves burning sensation
